Digital content & Poser Freebies
Hello and welcome to LadyfyreGraphics digital doodles. I create my digital artwork mainly with Smith Micro's Poser, Daz3d's Daz Studio, Carrara 8, Daz Hexagon (for 3d modelling), E-on Software's Vue and of course Adobe Photoshop software.
I love making Poser morphs, characters and textures, especially for the poser horse models. I have a small herd of real horses as my muse and use photographs of them and friends horses to build my textures and poses from. I also have some clothing textures and free hair models that I have made over the years available in my free Poser downloads.
I have posted several tutorials and articles here, how to make Poser hair models in Cinema 4d is one example.

I thought that I’d better put a quick explanation up her just in case anyone has been trying to contact me. I had major surgery 10 days ago and only got out of hospital on Saturday. I am unable to read more
After several different versions I’ve just finished a new digital art image, Herald. The figures (Genesis and Sub Dragon) were rendered in Daz Studio 4.6 and heavy postwork done in Photoshop and Flame Painter.
Well I’ve finished up a new composite image, entitled Red Gold. It was rendered in Poser 6 with the scenery painted in Photoshop. I also painted the horses mane and tail in Photoshop and blended the horse with the background.
Well this is annoying! I finally found the pen for my graphics tablet (hiding between bottles of nail polish on my desk side…) and settled down with my render and Photoshop to finish up the portrait of my cheeky, chunky welsh cob, Cruz and as I often do got carried away….
Now after producing several variations of my image I just can’t decide on which one I like the best. This image is intended to hang in my hallway so I want the best one, but full of cold and feeling the tug of a hot bubble bath and my warm bed I need some help. Which one of the above images do you like the best? Also do you have any constructive suggestions to improve it?
After reading Karanta’s excellent blog earlier today I was inspired to make some tiling textures from a Flame Painter image I made ages ago.
I spent some fun time in Paint Shop Pro playing around with them and thought I’d share them with everybody else 🙂
Free downloads for the various Poser 3d horse figures here. Includes stuff for the Daz 3d Millennium Horse (MilHorse), the Poser 4 horse and textures to transform the Daz Zebra to a cute little donkey!
Opened my email today to be informed that Daz3d have a new horse model out. Apparently this one used Genesis technology with weight mapping. I’ve had to pop out just now but just bought the pro bundle and will finish downloading it when I get back home and run it through it’s paces.
I just popped over to Daz3d to buy Victoria 5 (I know I’m late lol) and had a pleasant surprise awaiting me in the form of a flash sale of 70% off the Daz People category for this weekend only – bargain!
The Heavy Horse model by Bloodsong is the ONLY horse model available for use in Poser that has a properly articulated neck allowing it to graze in a natural pose. Also while I use the Daz Millennium Horse for most of my close up work, I ONLY use the Heavy Horse for large muscular draft animals (ie: Shire horses, Clydesdales, Percherons etc) as the draft morphs for the Millennium Horse just do not cut the mustard. Daz also have their Charger horse model but it too falls short when compared to this model in depicting a large muscular heavy horse. Also if you are creating fantasy or historical art and need a trusty steed for your hero there is no better horse model for Poser than the Heavy Horse!
